Our History

The history of our farm is rooted in love, family, and the land of Gargano.

It all began in 1964, when Pietro Zaffarano married Domenica Angelicchio in the beautiful village of Vico del Gargano , in Puglia, with the dream of building a close-knit family and a simple life, rooted in rural values. Ten months later, their firstborn, Giuseppe , was born.

In 1970 , the family took a fundamental step: purchasing the farm in the heart of the Gargano National Park . With a single cow, a lot of sacrifice, and an infinite love for the land, a journey of hard work, respect for nature, and traditions passed down from generation to generation began.

Giuseppe grew up quickly taking on great responsibilities, supported by his younger brother, becoming the true pillar of the company. In 1995, he married Nunzia Panella , with his parents' blessing, and together they started a new family. Their two children, Domenica (1995) and Pietro (2000) , were born, a symbol of continuity and hope.

In 2011 , the passing of Pietro Zaffarano Sr. marked a difficult time, leaving Giuseppe with the task of caring for and running the farm. Life goes on, but in 2020 , an aggressive cancer also took Giuseppe's life after a long battle.

Today, the family legacy remains alive thanks to Pietro Zaffarano , his son, who, with his wife Giovanna and little Ginevra , proudly continues to preserve the peasant traditions and the authentic soul of the Gargano village tradition, keeping alive a dream that began more than fifty years ago.
